The Cycling Ulster Youth Academy has set aside a bursary to support riders who have applied for entry into the various Road Races within the British National Series.
The list of races are:
Oulton park, 15th May
Isle of Man Youth Tour, 29/30th May/1st June
Loughborough, 5th June
Fife, 11/12th June
London 2 Day 2/3rd July
North West Youth Tour 27/28/29 August
Eligibility criteria and conditions
There are a limited number of bursaries and they are available to Under 14 and Under riders only
Riders must have a current Cycling Ireland licence
Riders must belong to a club/team based in Ulster or be unattached or resident in the province
Only one bursary per rider from the total
Riders must have proven road race experience
Once Riders have received confirmation of entry to the event they must inform the Academy
Bursaries will be awarded on a first come first served basis
The bursary will be paid out after the event subject to the CUYA receiving a short report after the event for the website. If one or more of the successful applicants is unable to go to the event, we can offer the bursary to one of the other applicants (in date/time order).
The bursary is not available to riders who are fully sponsored (i.e. who have no outgoings for travel or accommodation).
The CUYA reserve the right to refuse a bursary to any rider who in its opinion does not have the relevant experience to compete.
Riders/parents should email Peter Brown (peterbrown31.pb@gmail.com) with an expression of interest by Monday 9th May 2022 . This should also include a list of your results from 2022 and which race you are seeking a bursary for.
