There are two worthwhile charity cycles coming up in early March. These are Newry Wheeler’s Cycle for Autism on 6th March and North West CC’s Cycle for Young Parkinsons on the 12th March. Full details below.

Newry Wheelers Cycle for Autism Sunday 6th March
On Sunday 6th March Newry wheelers will host the 5th  Newry Wheelers  Sportive with the cycle for Autism with all profits from event to go to Autism families
Pre-entry is a donation of £12 but you can enter on the day for a donation of £15. Pre-entry for the Newry Wheelers cycle for Autism sportive will close on Thursday 3rd March. You will still need to sign on the day. You will need proof of membership if you are a member of Cycling Ireland.

Sign on and parking
Newry Sports Centre, Patrick Street, Newry
Sign on open from 8.30 with the sportive rolling out at 9.30am
Route 1 – 35 mile: Newry, Warrenpoint, Rostrevor, Yellow Water, Hilltown, Rathfriland, Newry
Route 2 – 50 mile: Newry, Warrenpoint, Rostrevor, Yellow Water, Hilltown, Rathfriland, Loughbrickland, Scarva, Newry

North West Cycling Club Charity Tour Saturday 12th March
North West Cycling Club have teamed up with local charity Young Parkinson’s to promote a charity cycle on Saturday 12th March. Sign on will ne at Foreglen GAA Clubhouse from 8:30am with the run  leaving 9:30am. There’s something for everyone with a 22 mile route & 54 mile route planned with support vehicles covering both routes.The cost will be £10 per person and there will be refreshments afterwards.
