Cycling Ulster Youth Academy is planning to host a very unique day of cycling in the summer of 2018. On Saturday 23rd June 2018 families from all over Ireland will gather at the Eikon Arena on the site of the old Maze Prison for a fantastic day of cycling based activities.
The event will showcase all of the different cycling disciplines as the various Cycling Ulster Commissions work together to showcase the wonderful sport of cycling. At the centre of the event will be a series of youth races on closed roads and offering something for all ages.
Cycling Ulster Youth Academy’s Paul Dixon said:
“The Festival of Youth Cycling will incorporate three different types of race into one day of action at a premier venue. On the day, categories right through Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 will race on closed roads in Time Trial, Criterium and Elimination Races. The boys and birls will have their own races. At the end of the day each of the Age winners both boys and girls will receive a specially commissioned jersey as part of their prize.
“The Under 8 and 10 Races will be about participation and fun and will accommodate all abilities on any type of bike. The Under 12 and up races will be part of the Cycling Ulster Youth League and will allow for fantastic racing in very safe surroundings.
“In order to run the event and continue our work to promote youth cycling in the province we are seeking sponsors for the day’s activities. In order to deliver the event we need help from local businesses and people. An individual or business can sponsor an Age Category or one of the races, the TT, Crit or Elimination.”
As a race sponsor you will have the Naming Rights to that series of races (10 in Total)

Costs
Cost £300 for each of the races
Sponsor a Winners Jersey
Each Age Category will have its own special winners Jersey which will be presented to the top rider in each age group after the three races have been completed.
As a Age Category Sponsor You
- Have your company name on the winners jersey – You will be presented with a signed (by winner replica)
- Be part of the Event PR – Social Media/Local and National Press
- Be listed as an event sponsor on all pre event publicity
- Be part of the event – Hosted at a prestigious national venue – present medals and that all important winners jersey.
- Have your company promoted through CUYC
Costs
- Cost £250 to sponsor a complete Age Category ie U16 Boys and Girls
- Cost £150 for individual Category i.e U12 Girls
- Cost £1000 for all categories
