The Women’s commission of Cycling Ulster in conjunction with Panache Coaching are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for women in the province who currently compete or have a goal of trying racing next year. A progressive, skills based program for anyone looking to improve their race specific skills from the most experienced of rider right through to someone thinking of entering their first race, this program will cater to all.

WCU recognise that a large proportion of cyclists wishing to take part in competitive events will have either a coach or a training plan to follow. The training required to achieve peak fitness is well covered by these coaches and training plans. This program will not look at the physiological demands or training requirements to be a competitive cyclist. This program will focus on the skills required to be a competitive cyclist. These skills can often be every bit as import, or even more so, than the riders fitness. Often even the strongest riders can be left disappointed in a race having lacked the edge in their bike handling or bunch skills. Designed to help racers to develop as competent, confident and safe competitive cyclists through an enjoyable skills based program the course is suitable for athletes of all fitness levels. The program aims to help athletes to achieve their best in competition events by empowering them with the skills and confidence needed to race safely and enjoyably.

The course will be delivered by Ronan Mc Laughlin of Panache Coaching.
