Foyle CC are honoured to hold the Irish National Road Race & Time Trial Championships on roads around and through our beautiful city on the 29th and 30th June 2019. We will be hosting the best Irish cyclists in the world including some of our World Tour professionals, rumour has it Sam Bennet is targeting the event. The membership of Foyle cc always go above and beyond when it comes to supporting events the club hosts.
However given the nature of this event and it’s mostly city centre location means a huge amount of marshal support is required.
The road races will take place on a circuit starting & finishing on Shipquay Street as follows;
Saturday 29th June 2019 Junior Men’s race (10am) and the elite women’s race (5pm)
Sunday 30th June 2019 at 08:20 hrs Junior Womens race (8am) & Elite Men’s Race (10am)
For the road races the club needs between 60+ marshal’s per race. We are requesting support from other clubs to assit with marshalling duties.
We are asking anyone willing to support the event to commit to set times/races so our committee can plan for each individual event. Please contact shaun.kelly@niwater.com
