Fintona CC promoted the 2017 Ulster Hill Climb Championships today on a 4.5 miles course that started in Fintona and finished on the summit of Sionfinn.

Darnell Moore (Caldwell Cycles) was fastest overall and took the Senior title, Lindsay Watson (Powerhouse) and Christopher Birney (Sportactive) lifted silver and bronze respectively in this category.

The Junior title was won by Ethan Downey (Clann Éireann CC), second place went to Donal Shearer (Phoenix CC) with Jack Ferguson (Dromara CC) rounding out the podium.

The Masters category saw Ali Gribbon (Carn Whs) record the fastest time to take the gold medal. The home club had success in the form of Barry McKenna who lifted silver with the bronze going to Sean Hargan of Phoenix CC.

Julie Mulligan (Strule Wheelers) took the women’s medal.
