Cycling Ulster caught up with Darnell Moore over the weekend following the news that he will ride for the Vitus Pro Cycling Team in the UK in 2020. Darnell joins fellow Ulster rider Christopher McGlinchey on the squad.

Speaking following the announcement, Darnell said:

“I’m delighted to get the opportunity to ride for a UCI level team in 2020 as it offers me the opportunity to step up a level.

“I’ve had some good results over the last few years, obviously winning three national titles in 2018 was a standout year for me.

“I’m grateful to Caldwell Cycles for their support since I was a junior which has been crucial in getting me to this stage.

“I also want to thank Cycling Ulster who organised regional teams to compete in British Series races which included UCI teams.

“The sponsors such as O’Reilly Stewart Solicitors, Donnelly Group and Pactimo have been a fantastic help with supporting the Ulster teams during 2019.

“My best result from last year was in the Manx International 3 day where I took fourth on the final stage with the Ulster team.

“This showed that our domestic riders can compete at this level and is a great stepping stone for us.

“I’m looking forward to 2020 and hopefully will get the chance to represent Ulster again in the future.”

Cycling Ulster would like to wish Darnell the best of luck for 2020.
