It is with great sadness that the Executive of Cycling Ulster inform you of the death of Aidan Fitzpatrick of La Lanterne Rouge Cycling Club. Aidan passed away today in the Royal Victoria Hospital from injuries sustained following a road traffic accident while on a club spin on Sunday 20th October.
Considered as one of life’s gentlemen, Aidan will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. He loved his cycling and had made many friends through cycling.
The Executive would like to extend our deepest condolences to Aidan’s wife Deirdre, and their children Louise, Ciaran, Peter, Niall & Niamh and to all his friends and club-mates in La Lanterne Rouge.
