The events that will make up the 2020 Cycling Ulster Youth Criterium Series have been confirmed.

The series enables youth riders to take part in competitions free from traffic.

A spokesperson for the Cycling Ulster Youth Academy (CUYA) said:

“The CUYA crit series is in its third year. The series has grown with the number of rounds and locations this year.

“We have been successful in getting several clubs to promote events in the series this year the and we are very grateful for all the clubs continued support in growing youth racing in the province.”

Prizes will be awarded in all categories to the top three in each age group male/female, with the U6 getting medals after the last round and the other groups at the end of year CU Awards dinner. It will be the best of 7 from 9 rounds towards the final tally and you have to finish at least 5 rounds of the series to be included in the points tally.

Sign-on from 6-6.30pm with the U6 race beginning as close to 6.30pm as possible.

Format for evening will be :

U 6 at 630 5 plus 1 lap

U8/u10 10 plus 1 lap 

U12 15 plus 1 lap

U14 20 plus 1 lap

U16/women 25 plus 1 lap.
