The Cycling Ulster Women’s Commission is excited to announce the Social Series 2026, a new set of women-only rides designed to bring cyclists together, build connections, and grow the women’s cycling community across Ulster.

Following feedback from our recent member survey, it’s clear there’s a strong demand for more opportunities for women to ride together. The Social Series is all about connection, community, and having fun on the bike. It’s not about speed or distance, just getting out and enjoying the ride.

With women making up around 20% of our membership, creating opportunities to meet, ride, and connect with other women is a key focus for Cycling Ulster. The Social Series aims to do just that, offering a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for women of all abilities.

What’s planned

We’re aiming to deliver six rides in total:

  • Two road spins

  • Two gravel spins

  • Two MTB spins

These rides will be led by local clubs across Ulster, giving participants the chance to explore different routes, enjoy varied terrain, and meet riders from other areas.

Calling all clubs

We’d love clubs to get involved in hosting these rides. Here’s what we’ll need from clubs:

  • Ride leaders

  • A route you’re proud to show off

  • A bit of enthusiasm to make it happen

If your club is interested in hosting a Social Series ride, please get in touch with us by Sunday 8th February.

The Social Series 2026 is a chance to build community, encourage more women to get on their bikes, and create lasting connections across Ulster.
Let’s make it happen together.
