Cycling Ulster is delighted to confirm that nominations are now open for the 2025 Cycling Ulster Awards. These awards celebrate the people, clubs, initiatives, and events that make cycling in Ulster inclusive, fun, and successful across all disciplines and levels.

Every year, volunteers, coaches, clubs, and organisers give their time, energy, and expertise to support cycling, often behind the scenes.
The Cycling Ulster Awards are an opportunity to recognise and thank those who go above and beyond to strengthen our cycling community.

We are inviting nominations across the following four categories:

The Volunteer of the Year Award recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to their club or the wider cycling community through their voluntary efforts.

This could include support with event organisation, administration, communications, rider welfare, fundraising, or day-to-day club operations.
The award celebrates dedication, reliability, and a positive attitude, and recognises those whose efforts often happen quietly but make a huge difference.

The Coach of the Year Award celebrates a coach who has shown outstanding commitment to developing riders at any level.

Whether working with beginners, youth riders, or competitive athletes, this award recognises excellence in leadership, technical knowledge, communication, and the ability to create a positive and supportive environment where riders can thrive, progress, and enjoy the sport.

The Initiative of the Year Award recognises a club, group, or individual who has delivered an impactful programme or project that has benefited cycling in Ulster.

This could be a new or established initiative focused on participation, development, inclusion, community engagement, or innovation.
We are particularly keen to hear about programmes that may not always be widely known but have made a meaningful difference at local or regional level.

The Cycling Event of the Year Award recognises an event that delivered an outstanding experience for participants, spectators, and volunteers.

Eligible events may include competitive races, sportive, community cycles, or innovative new formats. The winning event will have demonstrated strong organisation, a positive atmosphere, effective safety planning, and a clear impact on the cycling community.
