This is the second year that the Inter-provincial Youth Mountain Bike Competition will take
place.
The competition is aimed at improving bike skills – balance, control, wheel hopping
etc. We hope that the competition is fun for the participants, something different, and
something that helps to build friendships within the sport.

Background:
The event format is based on that run by British Cycling as the Inter regional MTB
Championships for over 10 years.
The last year this was run was 2022.
Cycling Ulster did participate for a few of the years that it was going. https://www.ulsterxc.com/irmtb/
It was felt that a similar competition could be held in Ireland as an inter-provincial
competition.
