Cycling Ulster Track indoor train and race plans. Link for form below.
Pre-requisite is that the rider has experience of riding a fix wheel track bike.
Cycling Ulster are keen to develop the skills of the young people within our sport to facilitating opportunities to learn indoor track skills through racing and training.
We have the opportunity to attend Monsters of Track racing in Glasgow for Under 12, 14 and 16’s on both November and December (dates on form) for those already accredited at an indoor velodrome. Around this race development opportunity we plan to enable non-accredited riders to gain their part of their accreditation with a view to completing this in the new year.
Cost for these trips will largely depend on numbers and logistics, but we aim to keep the costs as low as possible and have as much flexibility in attendance as possible.
Note Under 12 and 14’s must have a parent/guardian travel for duration of event.
The current options subject to numbers are:
1. Travel Friday for accredited riders to Race Friday night track league, Saturday Monsters of Track and a training day for ALL riders on the sunday.
2. Travel Saturday (early) for accredited riders to Race Saturday Monsters of Track and a training day for ALL riders on the Sunday
3. Travel Saturday for accredited riders to Race Monsters of Track and return Saturday night (NO training)
Non-Accredited Rider Options:
1. Travel and watch racing Friday, Saturday and take part in training on Sunday ( lot of watching bikes)
2. Travel with parent/guardian on Saturday/Sunday and take part in training on Sunday only.
NOTE: options will depend on numbers.
We appreciate your understanding that whilst some of these options are not ideal it’s a best attempt to cater for as many of the young peoples needs as possible.
