Cycling Ulster will have a five man team competing in the upcoming Lincoln GP. The race is part of the British Cycling Elite Men’s Calendar and includes several professional teams from across Britain and continental Europe.
The Cycling Ulster team contains the current Irish hill climb and cyclo-cross champion, Darnell Moore, Marc Potts who has just returned from the Commonwealth Games in Australia, Belgium based Marc Heaney as well as Conor McCann and Lindsay Watson who have scored some strong results on the home front in the early part of the season.
Maurice McAllister, Stevie McAllister and Calvin Moore will accompany the team in a support capacity.
Cycling Ulster Road Commission Chair, Patrick Withers said:
“The road commission set out our plans this season to try and provide riders with an opportunity to compete in events outside of our regular domestic calendar. The Lincoln GP is a high level event with an international field.
“We have a strong and experienced team for this event, including riders who are current national champions and have represented Ireland at international level.”
