Cycling Ulster invite promoters to register their interest in promoting a standalone Masters race as part of their Summer 2026 Open Racing events.

Masters Races will be open to Ulster riders in the M50, M60 & M70 age categories and eligibility will be restricted to those holding a C3 or Limited Competition racing licence.

Cycling Ireland ranking points will NOT be awarded from the Masters Series, instead age category points will be compiled by Cycling Ulster leading to medals being awarded in categories M50,M55,M60,M65,M70 &M75.

Promoters may charge an entry fee and award prize money at their discretion based on entry volume. As CI Ranking points are not awarded there will be no expectation of a Commissaire on the Masters Race however normal race safety protocols should be followed with a sporting handicap applied if deemed appropriate. Race distances should be comparable with midweek club racing.

Masters Series points will be awarded to the Top 8 finishers in each age category in the following order.

Placing  1st  2nd  3rd  4th  5th  6th  7th  8th
Points  10  8  6  5  4  3  2  1

The Series will be managed by Cycling Ulster and updates will be published via the Cycling Ulster website and social media platforms. 2026 Series Medals will be awarded at the Cycling Ulster Awards Night.
