Following the huge success of the Women’s Intro to CX League, Cycling Ulster is delighted to announce that the programme will return in 2026.
We’re now inviting women to register their interest and be part of the next chapter of this growing community.
Cyclo-cross is a sport like no other. It combines bike skills, fitness, challenges and plenty of fun, all wrapped up in a supportive environment where riders encourage each other from start to finish.
The Women’s Intro to CX League was created to provide an opportunity for women who may never have considered racing before to give it a go. Over the past year, we’ve seen women step onto their first start lines, learn new skills, build confidence and discover just how much fun cyclo-cross can be.
The biggest success has been the community that has grown around it.
The encouragement between riders, the friendships made, and the support shown both on and off the course have made this league something really special.
Whether you are completely new to racing, returning to cycling, or simply curious about trying something different, the Intro to CX League is a great place to start.
You don’t need to be an experienced racer.
You don’t need to have raced before.
You just need a bike, a willingness to give it a go, and a sense of adventure.
What to expect
The Women’s Intro to CX League will include:
- Opportunities to develop your cyclo-cross skills
- Supportive sessions to help you prepare
- The chance to take part in CX events alongside other women
- A welcoming community of riders who are all learning together
After seeing the growth of women’s participation across our Intro to TT and Intro to CX programmes, we’re excited to continue creating opportunities for more women to discover competitive cycling.
