What a night of racing in Newtownards.

A huge thank you to Ards CC, the volunteers, officials, sponsors and spectators who helped deliver a fantastic evening of racing on the fast town centre circuit.

The event featured a full programme of racing from youth categories through to the senior championship races, with competitive racing and strong performances throughout the evening.

The evening began with a family-focused community ride, where children on balance bikes and upwards completed 1–2 laps of the closed circuit alongside their parents and families. It created a brilliant atmosphere and gave younger riders the chance to experience the excitement of riding on closed roads in a safe and fun environment.

We also extend our thanks to Ards CC and the Cycling Ulster Women’s Commission for working together to deliver a Women’s Exhibition Race as part of the programme. The race provided an opportunity for women of different experience levels to take part in a closed-circuit event, with several riders experiencing cycle racing for the first time following involvement in the Women’s Commission Intro to TT programme.

The participation across the women’s race reflects the growing interest in women’s racing opportunities in Ulster and contributes to ongoing plans to develop further pathways, including the introduction of an Intro to Road Racing category in 2027.

Congratulations to all riders who took part and to all Ulster Championship medallists listed below.
