Well done to the Ulster Team who headed off to Loughborough for a weekend of all things BMX from 3rd to 6th September, 2026.
The Team was joined by Manager Shauna and Coach Brandon. It was great to see Brandon come on as Coach after having competed in the Games himself.
There were a number of events for them to take part in such as Strength & Conditioning, Flat Skills, Sprints.
Team Manager report:
A fantastic weekend was had in Loughborough University and Derby BMX track for the School games 2026. BMX racers Calvin Kennedy, Ethan McGinty, Ashton Stewart and Lucas Kennedy for freestyle travelled from Ulster with Coach Brandon Mallon.
Our girls travelled from Scotland, Amara Fyfe, Bournemouth, Sophie Coulson and St Helens, Isla Watts.
All our Ulster racing and freestyle rider representatives were outstanding and gave every thing they had, to compete at this prestigious event. They all made life long friends from BMX clubs up and down England, Scotland and Wales.
The whole weekend gave them great life skills that they will all remember forever.
Our riders took part in an opening ceremony just like the Olympics and witnessed 1st hand what it is like to be independent in their own organisational skills being away from parents.
They all were amazing throughout the weekend and were pushed to their physical limits.
