More than 40 young cyclists took part in a fantastic evening of rider development at the Railway Karting Track, hosted by the Cycling Ulster Road Commission.

The event welcomed riders from balance bikes right through to Under 14 level, creating a fun and supportive environment where young cyclists could build confidence and develop their skills away from busy roads.

Throughout the evening, younger riders took part in a range of fun games and activities designed to improve balance, control, braking, and overall bike handling. Older riders had the opportunity to work on group riding, cornering, positioning, and race skills on the closed karting circuit.

The Railway Karting Track proved to be the perfect venue for this type of event, offering a safe, traffic-free environment where riders could learn, progress, and enjoy cycling with others.

The strong turnout and positive atmosphere made the opening session a huge success, with riders, parents, and coaches all enjoying the opportunity to develop skills in a safe and structured setting.

A second session is now planned for Tuesday 3rd June, with tickets available now for riders who would like to take part.
