Cycling Ulster is pleased to welcome Phil Dickenson to the Executive Committee as our new Events Officer.
Phil brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from across the cycling events landscape and will work closely with clubs, event promoters, volunteers and Cycling Ulster stakeholders to support the successful delivery and development of events throughout the province.
Speaking about his appointment, Phil said:
“The opportunity to join the Cycling Ulster Executive as Events Officer is one I have considered carefully.I’m looking forward to supporting our clubs, promoters, cyclists, and volunteers in delivering race events that are successful, well run, and uplifting for the cycling community as a whole.Cycling has been a major part of my life for the past twelve years, and my involvement in the sport has grown with each passing season.I have served as Club Secretary of North Down Cycling Club for almost nine years, taking an active role in all aspects of club organisation.In addition, I have been a Cycling Ireland Commissaire for six years and am heavily involved in the Ulster coordination of Commissaire appointments under the College of Commissaires.
I hope that this experience, both in racing and in the application of the Technical Regulations, will be of real benefit to those who need my support and advice.I’m committed to helping ensure that events across Ulster continue to thrive and reflect the strength of our cycling community.”
