The Cycling Ulster Women’s Commission have named a five rider team to compete in the upcoming Tour of Omagh.

The team contains Laura Wylie (McConvey Cycles), Lauren Garvey (Armagh Down), Kathy Kerr (Harps), Jennifer Bates (Bioracer DHL) and Ciara Kelly (North Pole CC)

The team will be managed by Dylan Lyness and supported by mechanic Josh Murray.

Speaking after the announcement, a Women’s Commission representative said:

“We are delighted to be entering a team in to the race for the third year. We have picked a really strong team and will be looking to repeat the results of last year in which we got a stage win with Clodagh Gallagher and placed fourth overall in GC with Jane Wilkinson.

“The riders of the team contain a number of different strengths that will allow them to compete on all fronts. The most important part is that they enjoy themselves over the weekend and gain plenty of experience.”
