The Cycling Ulster Youth Commission have selected the province’s male riders to attend the national youth camp in Castlebar on the 17th/18th February and the male and female riders selected for day two of the Youth Tour of Scotland selection process.

The selection has been based on a combination of results from the 2017 Errigal International Youth Tour and the 2017 National Youth Championships and feedback from the selected observers and road captain’s during Saturday’s event in Omagh.

Cycling Ulster Youth Road Co-ordinator, Shaun McBride said “Congratulations and well done to all riders. We don’t have full details on national camp at this stage but all details will be shared as soon as they become available.”

YTOS Day Two Selection

This will be hosted by Island Wheelers CC on Saturday 10th February.

Sign on will be from 9:30 at Killyman GAA Club, 107 Drumaspil Road, Dungannon, BT71 6HZ.

The day will begin with riders using the top half of the PJ Logan circuit for a number of steady paced laps, followed by a ramp up for a number of laps. Depending upon weather conditions there will be similar bike drills to the Omagh event. Riders will be fully briefed before the start.

Once the PJ Logan circuit part has been completed, the riders will be working on some Team Time Trial practice as this will be one of the events at YToS.
