An Ulster Mountain Bike squad comprising 4 riders took part in the first round of the British Cycling MTB NPS Series on 3rd April in Pembry, Wales.
The squad was made up of Elite rider James Curry (Banbridge CC) and a trio of Juniors, John Buller (Banbridge CC), Sean Bradley (Carn Wheelers) and Adam Duff (XMTB-McConvey).
This is part of the Ulster Off-Road Commission`s development programme which hopes to take in the majority of the British Series, whilst also supporting the domestic and national series.

In the Elite Men`s event national Champion Grant Ferguson (Betch.NL) ran out the winner from Liam Killeen (Malvern Cycle Sport), with Ulster`s James Curry in 27th place, with Ulster Club entrants Gareth McKee (Banbridge CC) and Graham Boyd (XMTB-McConvey) slightly ahead in 20th and 25th places respectively.

In the Junior event Ulster secured a top-10 finish with John Buller coming in 9th, with Sean Bradley 16th and Adam Duff 26th.

The sole Ulster women`s entry was Claire Oakley, riding for Chain Reaction Cycles, who finished in 26th place.

The next round takes place on 24th April at Newnham Park, Plymouth
