Omagh Wheelers were delighted to host the Ulster 25 miles time trial championship in Omagh, Co.Tyrone this morning .

54 entrants clocked some superb times, with Marcus Christie not long home from representing Ireland in the Commonwealth games recording an unbelievable 50.01 on the out-and-back circuit!

Silver & Bronze Elite men awarded to Craig McAuley from Team Caldwell Cycles(53.22) & Donal Shearer 54.39 (Phoenix CC) with Darragh McCarter (DBCC) just missing out on the medals with 54.58.

Best wishes to Chris Wheeler- Team Madigan – who had a bad spill on the inward journey with suspected broken collar bone and hip.
He was assisted on the course by Peter Ward and taken to hospital for further investigation.

So many people came over to me before they went home to thank the club for putting on another well executed race between safety and military execution.

Only for all the commitment from our committee and members we couldn’t pull these events off and attract such an elite field of riders.
