Entry has now opened for the Armstrong Auctions Tour of Ards race which takes place on Saturday 24th March. The 140km race is one of the classics of the Ulster cycling calendar and receives full support from the PSNI. The 2018 edition will follow the same route as last year. 

Applications have now opened on Entry Central, please note entries are not on a first come first served basis. Applications for entry will close on Wednesday 14th March.  The organising committee will meet and finalise the start list shortly after and you will be informed by email later that week if your application has been successful.

A spokesperson for the club said “Ards Cycling Club wish to thank Bangor-based auctioneers James Armstrong Auctions who have chosen to sponsor our established ‘Spring Classic’ which will see 80 riders race around the beautiful Ards Peninsula for the coveted Tommy Brown Memorial Trophy. Eligible categories – A* A1, A2, A3, Jun

All riders must have a valid Cycling Ireland licence – no one day licences will be issued.

Race HQ – St. Pats Hall, Victoria Avenue, Newtownards

Sign on – 8:30am – 9:30am

Roll out – 10:00am
