Cycling Ulster Chairman, Tommy McCague is encouraging cyclists to support the South Down Coastal Tour in aid of the Head Injury Support Charity on Sunday 8th September.

Speaking ahead of the event, he said:

“Slieve Gullion Wheelers’ South Down Coastal Tour on Sunday is in aid of Head Injury Support, an organisation that do fantastic work for those affected by head injuries and their Carers.

“I have personal experience of the work they do to support those who have suffered head injuries as my brother was injured in a road traffic accident many years ago and they have provided great support to him and our family.

“The 55 miles event takes in some great scenery of the Mournes and the coast with a support vehicle and hot food available at the finish.

“I would like to encourage as many local cyclists and clubs to support this event for a worthy cause.”
