Donal Shearer was the top placed rider of the Cycling Ulster team at the Tour of the Reservoir that took place on 21-22nd June. The British Cycling National Series race assembled a field of many full time professional riders including the top British teams.

Shearer finished 19th on day two and 32nd on the General Classification.

The Ulster team consisted of Ronan McLaughlin (Team Captain),  Donal Shearer, James Curry, Gareth O’Neill, Darnell Moore, Ryan Reilly and Angus Fyffe. The support team was made up of Maurice McAllister, Stuart Laverty and Steven McAllister.

The Ulster team encountered a frantic two days of racing against many full time professional riders. Just 40 riders of the large field were listed as finishers after the second day, including three Ulster riders; Shearer (32nd), McLaughlin (34th) and Moore (39th).
