Cycling Ulster will be running a Safeguarding Awareness Course in Cookstown this evening. The course will take place in Team Aspie HQ”s on Molesworth Street, Cookstown
(opposite the police station). The course will begin at 7.00pm and will last approximately three hours. Refreshments will served at the halfway point. The course will be taken by Marian Lamb, Ulster’s Lead Safeguarding Officer.

The course has been requested by Harps CC but is open to any member from other clubs who wish to attend. The course is provided free of charge to all Ulster clubs.

Those who intend working with children (Under 18’s) should attend this course and it is  compulsory requirement for all Club Safeguarding Officers who must complete this course before doing the Designated officer Course.

It is also necessary for all those working with young people to complete an Enhanced AccessNI Application through Cycling Ulster. Full details of how to do so can be found HERE.

Those who have already done so but who have not yet submitted their ID Validation Form can bring their ID along to the  meeting tonight for validation. Photo ID such as Passport/Driving Licence are required as well as proof of address eg. Utility Bills/Bank Statements etc.
