Omagh Wheelers CC promote the McCann Cup for 2016 on Sunday 6th March. The event has been the clubs long-standing flag-ship event for many years, and it is once again organised and sponsored by club stalwart Hugh McCann who instils his passion and enthusiasm in the event. Renowned for it’s great racing, great atmosphere, and great food atmosphere, it’s one of the best races in Ulster.

The event features five races across the day: women, masters (50+), A4, A3, A2 & A1. The event attracts approx 300 cyclists across all five races, and the racing is usually fast and furious. The McCann Cup course was used to host the 2013 All-Ireland Junior & A3 RR Championships.

In the interest of safety, we work with the local PSNI to implement a one-way traffic management system during the main races to reduce the risk on oncoming traffic meetings large groups of cyclists. The event is generously sponsored this year by Hugh McCann Building & Maintenance Contractor, in association with Ballymore Services Ltd.

Further information can be found on our website: www.omaghwheelers.co.uk. Entries will open online on Sunday 28thFebruary @ 8pm via entry central, and close at 8pm on Wednesday 2nd March. Entries will be accepted on the day for races that are not filled by the online closing date.
