PSNI Bike Safe Application Forms

The PSNI will be running Bike Safe courses for motor bikers on 11th-12th April in Antrim and the 24th May in Bangor. These courses will be invaluable to anyone interested in acting as motorbike race observers in cycling events. Many insurance companies will also offer up to a 10% reduction on insurance for riders who have taken this course. Information about the course and application forms can be downloaded by clicking on the links below.

You can also contact the PSNI officer in charge of the course directly. His name is Bill Holden and he can be contacted on 02838366109.

Cycling Ulster would like to introduce an accreditation scheme for motor bike helpers. This would involve riders participating in both the Bike Safe course and the race observers course run by Davy McCall.

We would like to build up a database of motorbike riders who would be willing and trained to help out at events. Anyone interested in the PSNI course should contact martin Lees on martinlees@cyclingulster.com or Tel: 02894 469834, Mobile: 07710947811
