Emyvale CC hosted a Successful Women’s only cycle as part of ‘Her Outdoors’ week today.
The event was attended by over 40 women from various clubs with many of the riders having limited cycling experience.
The cyclists availed of food courtesy of the promoting club at The Duck Truck after the spin was completed.
Emyvale CC Chairperson, Mark Skeath said:
“I want to thank all of the participants, our volunteers and Silver Hill Duck Farm for supporting the event and making it a great success.
“The Emyvale club has a rich and long history of being involved in community events and we are pleased to be able to build on that with recent initiatives aimed at increasing female participation, particularly our Women on Wheels programme and today’s event.
“Hopefully we will see continued growth in that side of the sport in the time ahead.”
