The Cycling Ulster Off-road Commission plan to run a series of coaching sessions aimed at the U12/U14/U16 age groups. These intermediate level sessions are aimed at existing racers who would like to improve their technical riding skills with the aim of improving their race results. The first of the sessions is planned for Saturday 11th February at Barnetts Demesne trail centre at 12:30 pm at the Mary Peters car park at the trail head. The session will be lead by Mark Harvey, a Level 2 Mountainbike Instructors Association coach (MIAS).

Each session is limited to six riders and will last approximately 2.5 hours. The cost £3 per rider.

Some of the skill work will be around
* Rider’s position on the bike,
* Effects of weight transfer,
* Braking techniques,
* Cornering techniques,
* Line choice,
* Riding rough, steep, terrain.
