The Cycling Ulster Road Commission AGM took place last night and saw attendees review 2018 and look forward to the 2019 season. Patrick Withers and Peter Ward were returned to the positions of Chair and Secretary respectively while Paul Dixon has taken on the role of Treasurer.

In reviewing 2018, the Chairman’s report reflected on numerous successes including the ability of the Ulster senior riders to hold their own while competing against professional and semi-professional riders in the two British Cycling Elite races the province were represented in as well as the stage win by Adam Ward in the Junior Tour of Wales.

While the previous year has seen a large focus placed on sending representative teams to competitions, there was much discussion around coaching and development also being a focus for 2019.

Those elected can be seen below however there is flexibility for others to become involved as help, support and advice is always welcome. Contact patrick.withers@cyclingireland.ie if you’re interested in helping with the 2019 season.
