Following a meeting with the Cycling Ireland Board this afternoon, Cycling Ulster Chairman Maurice McAllister said:

“We had a positive discussion with the Cycling Ireland Board in relation to the processes and procedures around the selection of Irish high performance teams, they have agreed to review the matters we have raised and look at the suggestions we have put forward.”

Cycling Ulster Vice Chairman Tommy McCague added:

“The Cycling Ireland Board have said they will come back with a response to what we have put forward to bring greater structure and improvements to the selection of our national high performance teams within a reasonable period of time and we will update members when we have reached this point.”
