Following the announcement of further restrictions by the Stormont Executive yesterday (14/10/20), NI counties have also now had all events postponed, just as was already the case in Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.

Outdoor training is permitted with a maximum of 15 riders while indoor training must take place on an individual basis.

With the ongoing increase in people testing positive for Covid-19, Cycling Ulster want to remind members of the need to follow the regulations and carry out good practice while participating in cycling activities to help curb the rise in transmission.

When taking part in a cycling activity, participants should practice two metres physical distancing before and after training sessions as well as during any breaks. This guidance is particularly important for those taking part in group spins. Social gatherings that occur at coffee stops for example should be avoided.

Members are also encouraged to carry a mask when on a training spin to ensure you have one if required, such as when entering a shop.
