The Cycling Ulster Off-road Commission is looking for Ulster clubs to come forward to run cross-country mountain bike races in 2021. Given the current lockdown it is expected that clubs would plan for events to happen after Easter. There are no guarantees when restrictions will be lifted but event planning can go ahead. The commission can help with:
- selecting a suitable race date,
- completing risk assessments,
- setting up race entry systems using EventMaster.ie, and
- race promotion.
The commission appreciates that event finances are a worry for clubs. The commission is looking to put in a safety net event funding package to help reduce the financial worry. If your club is interested in running an event please contact secretary@offroadcyclingulster.com.
